Smart Hex

One smart electronic module serves each hex location. It senses local physical contacts, renders a number token, and exchanges information with the Base Board.

The prototype uses one CH32V003F4P6 development board and one 0.96-inch OLED per hex. The target workload is seven analog sensors, a digital robber sensor, a local display bus, the shared main bus, and chain signals. Pin compatibility still needs verification.

All hexes should run the same firmware. The Base Board supplies their runtime identity and semantic display commands. A hex owns local hardware behavior, not Catan rules, global sensor ownership, player accounts, or the authoritative game state.

Dependencies include power, working contacts, a resistor registry, the hex-main protocol, and the Base Board's enumeration process. Continue with hardware, software, and wiring.
